Retaining Walls in Charlotte, NC
Engineered and decorative retaining walls that hold a slope for good — segmental block, natural stone, poured concrete and pier-supported systems.

Retaining Walls built for Charlotte homes
Charlotte properties range from tight uptown lots and older Dilworth and Myers Park yards with mature trees and dated hardscape, to newer south Charlotte and Ballantyne subdivisions with heavy clay and drainage that was never finished properly. We work all of it, residential and commercial.
Around Lake Norman, most yards move because water was never dealt with. Every wall we build starts with a drainage plan: clean stone backfill, filter fabric, perforated drain tile and daylighted outlets so hydrostatic pressure never gets a chance to push the wall out. Taller walls get geogrid reinforcement layers tied back into the hillside.

Common Questions
Questions we get asked
How tall can a retaining wall be built?
We build everything from low seating walls to tall tiered systems. Past certain heights and surcharge conditions the wall needs engineering and permitting — we will tell you up front which category your slope falls into.
Why do retaining walls fail?
Almost always water and base. A wall without stone backfill and drain tile becomes a dam. We build the drainage first, which is the part you never see and the reason the wall stays straight.
Do you build retaining walls in Charlotte?
Yes — Charlotte is part of our regular service area from our base in Cornelius, NC, and this is a service we handle start to finish with crews we know and trust.
