Landscape Design & Installation in Cornelius, NC
Full landscape design and installation — beds, trees, shrubs, perennials, edging and full-yard renovations built from an actual plan.
Landscape Design built for Cornelius properties
Cornelius is home base for Andrew's Landscaping. Many Cornelius properties sit on or near Lake Norman shoreline, with sloped lots that drop toward the water, HOA review on The Peninsula and in other planned neighborhoods, and wind-exposed yards that need careful material choices.
We design around the way the property is used and the conditions it actually has: sun exposure, drainage, soil, deer pressure and how much maintenance you want to do. You get a plant plan with layered structure — evergreen backbone, seasonal color, groundcover — instead of a row of the same three shrubs across the front of the house.
Installation is where plans succeed or fail. Beds are shaped and edged cleanly, holes are dug wide and amended, plants are set at the right depth, and everything is mulched and watered in. On full renovations we handle demolition of tired beds, grade correction, irrigation adjustments and lighting in the same pass.

Common Questions
Landscape Design in Cornelius: FAQs
Do you offer landscape design & installation in Cornelius, NC?
Yes. Cornelius is part of our regular service area from our base in Cornelius, NC. We work in The Peninsula, Jetton Road, Antiquity, Smithville and the Bailey Road corridor, and every project gets a free on-site visit and a written quote.
Do I need a permit for landscape design & installation in Cornelius?
This work usually does not need a permit, though HOAs may have rules on plants, turf and rock. Cornelius handles zoning and land-use review, while building permits run through Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement. We confirm the requirements for your address before work starts.
Do you work on lakefront properties in Cornelius?
Yes. Lakefront lots in Cornelius often have steep grades toward the water, and work within the shoreline buffer may need approval from Duke Energy Lake Services and the local planning office. We plan erosion control, drainage and access before work starts.
How soon can you start a project in Cornelius?
We usually schedule the on-site visit within a few days of your call. Start dates depend on the season, the size of the job and any HOA or permit approvals, and we give you a clear schedule window in your written quote.
Do you provide a design before work starts?
Yes. You get a layout and plant list to approve, so you know exactly what is going in and where before anyone digs.
Can the work be phased over time?
Absolutely. We design the whole property, then build it in phases that each look finished on their own.
Do you offer commercial landscape installation?
Yes — HOA common areas, office parks and multifamily properties are a regular part of our work.
